Amy & Drew walk with Nana into the Philadelphia Airport on the way to Denver. Mr. Brock and I were accompanying them.
Thoughts of our little Drewby filled our heads as his history passed through our memories.
His brother, Tim, is coming up from Gunnison, CO (he attends Western State Colorado University there) to participate in the delivery week.
Thank goodness Drew grew into that head of his early years.
He has become a fine lacrosse player and will keep up his workouts at the new weight room that we admired when we visited campus with him last October.
We rented a house for the week…Wednesday is Drew’s move-in day.
We have brother Tim, the Staffords, Uncle Mike, Diane Gimber and husband, DJ a professor friend of the Staffords, Edward Morey, all coming for dinner tonight. We think that’s 12 and Chef Brock will be burning vegan burgers to suit.
We had a test meal here on Bluff Street last night – Drew’s favorite tacos and grilled plantains – and it worked like a charm. Lots of beds, too. And, as you can see, the house has a big, Family Kitchen.
And here’s the Mama surrounded by her boys. Tomorrow (Tuesday, August 16th) will have us exploring the Boulder area and gathering more for our meal. Mike comes down from his mountain for dinner, too.
