Saturday arrival still leaves time for a movie on campus.

As with most of this 6,000 person Victorian village, the architecture (inside and out) is delightful.

Once the un-packing and re-acquainting dance was complete, Blair recommended a movie about Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, called “Love and Mercy”.  A challenge was the start time of 9PM…that’s past “Sanibel Midnight”.  A delicious dinner of Cipriani’s tagliatelle and Wegman’s meatballs was accompanied by  good Chianti Classic Riserva.

Then, even the Staffords (who had arisen at 3AM in Denver for their first of 2 flights), decided the movie was a good idea.

We recommend the flick for those who grew up with this music.  Well-acted with Paul Giamatti as a terrific villain of the 70’s drug culture.

Sunday as the first day is a light schedule. The minister for the week is on at 10:45 for a service.  He’s a Brit and probably Anglican…works at the London School of Economics.  Isn’t that a funny place for a minister?  He does his “faith journey” today at 5…that might be interesting to hear.

Sunday dinner is with some fellow Sanibel folks at 6PM.  They are here scouting speakers for the Big Arts Forum speaker series….”Welcome to the Forum” may be there himself.
