Walk around our place…Villa Il Trebbio in Ossaia.

It’s Friday morning…Tim & Cindy have a driver to a place on the Mediterranean coast above Roma…it’s their 16th anniversary (1999) on Sunday and this is our extra gift.

We mourned their leaving, of course, but recovered in time to discover some nice hikes – one about 4km away near Cortona and one right here through the orchard on the property. Amy left Brock home to rustle up one of his legendary comfort food lunches – including local pasta + ingredients from yesterday’s Camucia market. Butch & Louise headed off with us.

The wildflowers – even dandelions – look similar to ours in the U.S….

These old stone walls always spring alive with beauty.

We arrived home at the Villa hungry and MichaelB did not disappoint. What a talent…to be able to totally silence a group of gregarious people with a pasta dish. Bread and wine accompanied his creation.

its an Ina Garten recipe with some Brock twists, but all fresh vegetables and excellent, light pasta. Silence for while. Grazie.
