Saturday in Prague, Czech Republic 10/4/14

The weather has been so good for touring, it’s scary how lucky we’ve been.  It was cold today – high about 60 and wishing-we-had-gloves was felt by a couple of us.  But the good fortune has been much appreciated.  And, still it’s sunny, so no more whining.

Helena was our tour lady today…excellent explainer of the “Castle” and the Town Square later.  Also, here’s the “motor coach” we have been using for the past week.  The drivers are the most adept and amazingly talented people…they get through spots in tiny city alleys that are impossible to contemplate. Plenty of room at the hotel on the street that’s like Paris.

I’m going to make these photos small and remember, you can click on them to make them big and use your “back” button to go back to the blog.  The “Castle” grounds also includes several cathedrals (one goes back to the year 800), government offices of the President & Prime Minister (not Helena’s favorite people) and is about a half-mile on top of the hill overlooking the river Vltava.

The inside views below include the best stained-glass we have seen.

Suddenly, the internet in the hotel is not working fast enough to upload the photos I need.

I’m going to publish this now and hope to be back with you and the “rest of the story” as Paul Harvey used to say.
